The Heart Is a House With Many Doors
On love as the keeper of what enters.
Love, peace, and joy are meant to make their home there — shaping the atmosphere within.
But sometimes fear comes to the threshold and tries to enter. And fear rarely comes alone.
If it makes its way inside, it often brings companions: worry, anxiety, doubt, frustration, comparison, envy.
Love, however, is not passive.
Love does not simply feel — it guards.
Perfect love casteth out fear.
— 1 John 4:18 (KJV)
Love stands at the door. Love braces itself. Love protects what belongs in the heart.
Keeping the heart is not a single moment — it is a practice of attention.
Noticing what is knocking. Recognizing what is entering. Choosing what may stay.
So love, peace, and joy must remain — steady and near — so the heart stays a place of warmth, not worry.
